One source claims the 18-year-old was actually bullied for being there -- apparently not everyone thought she earned the right to walk the shows!
The insider spilled:
We love us some fab sets and colabs!
Project Runway contestant, Kenley Collins, recently teamed up with Bésame Cosmetics to create a super glam limited-edition scarf and lipstick set that is extra adorbz.
The beauty brand was founded in 2004 by Argentinian-born Gabriela Hernandez who composed a range of products that are thirties and forties-inspired.
“Each product carries the essence and sophistication of the post-World War II era, crafted with the utmost quality and design. [The makeup is] for the romantic at heart."
Gabriela's first first Bésame Cosmetics Boutique will open this summer in Glendale, Calif., which is going to offer the convenience to work directly with customers.
Hernandez shared why she chose the Glendale location:
“We decided to open this location to retail because we have been [here] for eight years, but primarily used this space as a showroom for wholesale accounts. Customers have come wanting to purchase items here, so it was a natural progression to formally open the doors. I enjoy interacting with our customers and see how they use our products. I learn from speaking with them, and I enjoy their feedback and passion they have for my brand.”
The 500-square foot store carries the complete Bésame collection, limited-edition ranges, sneak peeks of pre-release items and the company's new handbag line.
As for the Limited Edition Scarf and Lipstick Set that was created with Kenley, Gabriela called it “a vintage match made in heaven.”
Collins talked about the collaboration with Hernandez:
“It was a natural collaboration for us. We share the same vision and love for vintage. My inspiration was Fifties Americana with a clean modern look, so that it can be worn with anything and will make a statement with any outfit. I was inspired by the rich, bold red lipstick shade created and wanted to duplicate that color with roses. I placed them like polka dots, pairing them with a triple gold border for a fun, classic, yet feminine look.”
The bold red lipstick titled Kenley Red will be sold with a beautiful patterned scarf that was designed by Collins in a special set for only $45!
Unfortunately, the set won't be available until September 1, which is just a few weeks away, but we can't help that we're impatient.
Gotta love vintage fashion!
