Minnie Mouse once said, "So, you wanna be hip. Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh?"
Now, she's getting turned into one of the hippest fashionistas that has ever graced London Fashion Week.
Designers Richard Nicoll, Katie Hillier, Giles Deacon and Terry de Havilland are creating one-off digs inspired by the cute Disney character, and we cannot wait to see what they come up with!
Other designers who are also taking part in the garb include, Michael van der Ham, Lulu Guinness, Piers Atkinson, Bunney, Husam el Odeh in collaboration with Luke Hersheson, and Meadham Kirchhoff who will reveal the collab with Minnie at its spring/summer 2013 show.
The Walt Disney Company fashion and home vice president Marc Low shared some thoughts on Miz Mouse's style:
"Minnie Mouse and her unique style continue to inspire fans across the world. We're thrilled to collaborate with such visionaries to create these one-off designs. Surpassing trends, Minnie Mouse's iconic silhouette, signature bows and polka dots always remain in style, which is why she is as relevant today as the day she first appeared on the fashion scene. London Fashion Week is the perfect stage for Disney, one of the world's largest apparel brands, to put a spotlight on Minnie Mouse."
The Minnie Mouse fashionables will be brought to light during LFW, followed by being auctioned off on eBay for the Fashion Arts Foundation charity that aims to endorse and care for relationships between fashion, film, music and art.
Plans for Disney to team up with prominent beauty labels to create Minnie Mouse inspired pieces are also expected, but details have not been confirmed.
We're so excited that "the happiest place on earth" is leading their characters into the fashion world because there's really nothing better than rocking our fav Disney figures on first-class clothing!!!
