Giles Deacon Talks Dressing Victoria Beckham For Olympics
Giles Deacon and Victoria Beckham go way back, so obviously the designer was thrilled to dress "lovely Victoria" for the Olympic Closing Ceremonies earlier this month.
The collaboration was supposed to be top secret, but that all went to hell when Poshy tweeted about the fitting, which sparked rumors that all the Spice Girls would be wearing Giles.
When it came to the dress, Deacon said the "naughty woman" knew what she wanted:
"Yeah, she wanted something that was of her 'Spice world' and her Posh persona. She really liked a dress we'd done for the Autumn Winter 2012 collection so we created a new version for her. We've made quite a few pieces for her in the past and she buys quite a lot herself. The corsets work really well for her so she feels comfortable wearing them."
Indeed they do, and the end result looked positively Posh!
