Counterfeiters just don't know when to quit!
Last Wednesday, Milan police busted stores in Chinatown and along the Corso Buenos Aires shopping strip for selling fake designer accessories.
The seized goods included 12,000 Louis Vuitton and Burberry scarves, 1,000 Pomellato charms, and 25,000 Cruciani macramé bracelets.
Town councilor for trade, Franco D’Alfonso, reportedly said that in the first half of the year police did 3,900 investigations, which were followed by 3,214 both administrative and criminal seizures and attention to the cops claiming counterfeiting and fencing charges.
Well at least the 40,000 accessories were snatched up, but we know the knock-off products will be back.
