Cheeky!

A new exhibit at the Northampton Museums & Art Gallery in the UK has put its entire shoe collection on display for Global Footprint, a program that raises awareness for the visual arts, focusing on awareness of Northamptonshire's historical shoe and boot industry.

Their collection of footwear ranges from 1606 to present day and includes shoes made with human hair, Native American husks, Turkish bath clogs, 7-inch stilettos worn by men, S&M inspired heels that look like they could have been written in 50 Shades (above, left), and even the Shellys Union Jack platform boots worn by Spice Girl Geri Halliwell (above, right).

If you check out the pics (below), you'll see an even more intensive collection that will whet the appetite of any shoe fetishist.

These include 11-inch platforms, Charles Hind-designed gold barrette shoes from 1889, and Pakistani wool and leather Pom Pom mules for the most narrow-footed individual!

So much history in just a tiny contraption made for someone's feet!
