A 25-year-old Lebanese man was arrested earlier this week at the O.R. Tambo International Airport in South Africa after attempting to smuggle $2.3 million worth of diamonds — in his stomach!
The conniving schemer was on his way to Dubai, but his trip was quickly halted as soon as he went through the security checkpoint's scanning system, where he was then taken into custody and forced to take several laxatives to rid himself of the 220 diamonds he swallowed.
We bet his poop shined bright like a diamond. Ha!
According to Capt. Paul Ramaloka, this type of diamond trafficking used to be very popular, but because of "increased security" it's no longer as common.
The man is thought to be part of a HUGE diamond smuggler ring, which makes a lot of sense because it's not everyday someone goes around popping diamonds like they're candy.
Whatevs, we're just glad they caught him, but at the same time feel terrible for the person who had to rummage through all that caca!
