This must have been like getting a kid to eat their veggies! LOLz!
But it wasn’t all easy, and the woman behind it, her stylist Tara Swennen, is talking all about what it takes to dress KStew.
She explained why the actress has been going with such bold looks for Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, saying:
"It all stemmed from the fact that this was the end of a big chapter in her life. Twilight is coming to a close, so we wanted to do stronger looks. Just recently, she’s embraced doing the long-gown thing, so it was definitely an opportunity for me to stick as many as I could on her. We just wanted to make a grand escape, I guess, rather than a grand entrance."
An inneresting theory… We like!!!
And what about all the Zuhair Murad she’s been wearing? Tara said:
"It really fits her silhouette. Like Balmain a few years ago, you pretty much just zip it up and it fits."
It does seem to fit her perfectly, but it’s not always easy getting her to wear the appropriate footwear for it.
Tara admits she's come to expect Kristen to change into her Converse halfway through the red carpet, because it's part of her personality, but adds:
"There are definitely times when I have to say, 'Please, please, please put the heel on just for me.'"
But she does it, so that means a lot! Aww!
One thing Tara can’t do, though, is get KStew to wear jewelry. She explained:
"She doesn’t have her ears pierced, still, so it’s a running joke that when she’s 25, I’ll finally get her in jewelry… Her jewelry is jewelry that tends to stay on her only because it has sentimental value to her, whether it’s from friends or family. It’s her second skin, essentially, at this point."
Wow! It’s so nice to get some insight into what makes this girl tick, because we’ve been wondering about her red carpet looks for some time now.
We’re glad she has Tara in her life though. T-shirts and jeans at premieres are only cute when you’re 15.
