It's all Kate Middleton's influence!
We have to say that before the Duchess of Cambridge and after Princess Diana, we did not give a hoot about the royals' fashion choices or their weird, funny hats.
But we care now more than ever!
So, yes, we are beyond thrilled to hear about the new art exhibit Fine Style: The Art of Tudor and Stuart Fashion set to debut at Buckingham Palace in May of next year.
The exhibit will feature a live runway show that will showcase the creations of local fashion students from the school of Costume Design and Interpretation at the Wimbledon College of Art, with their designs inspired by the more than 60 paintings and 20 miniatures from the Tudor and Stuart eras.
Just imagine all the cartwheel ruffs, corsets, pannier dresses, frilly petticoats, doublets, and breeches we'll get to see!
The runway show is scheduled for July, and we can't wait to see the Duchess and Queen Elizabeth sitting front row center.
There might even be a little swaddled baby prince or princess in the Duchess's arms by then.
It's almost too exciting to bear!!!
