One source claims the 18-year-old was actually bullied for being there -- apparently not everyone thought she earned the right to walk the shows!
The insider spilled:
Boy, was he ever wrong!
Bombshell Christina Hendricks has revealed that her now trademark scarlet locks were a major source of contention for her modeling agency, the head of which told her that she looked "ugly" with the new dye job.
Ugly is a word we would never, ever, ever use to describe the lovely Miz Hendricks.
The 37-year-old recalls how it all went down:
"When I first started modelling I was blonde. Then I got a job and they wanted to do my hair bright red. I'd always wanted to, but the head of my agency was like, 'You look terrible, it's so ugly, you cannot have red hair.' I came back as a redhead and couldn't get my hair back to blonde for two days - in the meantime I had to audition. I booked two or three jobs, because there were a lot fewer redheads than blondes, and I was like, this is working for me, I'm keeping this!"
And we are so glad she did! Her role as Joan Holloway on Mad Men is already one of the most iconic roles on TV.
We just can't quite picture her as a blonde. She rocks the redhead look better than anyone we know!
