Last month, Denmark's Board of Equal Treatment ruled that it is illegal for men and women with the same hair length to pay a different amount of money for a haircut.
It all started when a woman complained that a salon charged her too much for a haircut even though she had very short hair, like a typical man's.
The salon in question charged 528 kroner, or $94, for women's haircuts and 428 kroner, or $76, for men's. And even more for anyone with very long hair.
Though the salon argued that it takes more time and more haircare tools/products to cut a woman's hair, the Board of Equal Treatment ruled in the complaining woman's favor, stating that since the price differences were based on gender, they were in violation of Denmark's Gender Equality Act.
We totally support this ruling. Hey, it's only fair!
But now it's got us wondering how much Kim Kardashian's haircuts cost.
On second thought, we don't wanna know!
