I disagree with old Karl, the European jet setting buttoned up fashion maven, but he can state his opinions. Michelle looks fresh and much younger with the new, shiny 'do.'

Monsier Lagerfeld is following the First Lady, like everyone else! A sign of her international and multi-cultural haute up (Karl Lagerfeld) and down (Kohl's hopping) influence on media and popular culture, I see her career lasting well beyond her First Lady's position given that the President and First Children allow supportive transitions and I don't see why not. I like the fashion risks she take, I agree it isn't as sophisticated but she looks young and open to a range of styles which can also impact our perception that she perhaps is much younger and open than just elegant and sophisticated, good move on the younger generation's psychology.

Karl Lagerfeld has no business criticizing anyone's hair. He has had the same ridiculous hairstyle for DECADES and is stuck in a time warp. Anyone who wears their hair in a ponytail while sporting sunglasses 24/7 for 30 years needs to STFU.

Michelle Obama is a sexist herself against women. This is a women who said when her husband was nominated that she was finally proud of her country for looking at an African-American as President. One little problem with that, Carol Mosley Braun, the former Senator of Illinois who was also African-American, did run for President. So, what Carol wasn't good enough? Michelle wasn't proud then? She's a monster and she looks ridiculous with that haircut.

I think she looks fine with or without bangs, personally I have to wear them, the shapre of my face does not lend itself to no bangs, etc.

I would love to own a Chanel if I could afford it, but since I am retired, no idea where I would wear it. For $2000 I can and will in May take a nice 11 day vacation in Mexico.

One of the things that i LIKE about Michelle is that 'haute couture' doesn't seem that important to her. She dresses nicely, and then focuses more on things that truly matter.
