Rihanna's River Island Collection Slammed By Critics! Read The Scathing Reviews HERE!

Rihanna gets bad reviews on her debut River Island collection

Ouch!

It's definitely been a tumultuous couple of days for Rihanna since she debuted her River Island collection during London Fashion Week on Saturday.

At the after-party following her fashion show, the singer slash designer got a bottle thrown at her by a heckler outside the club, which resulted in her bodyguard getting his leg injured and RiRi getting a bloody scrape on her knee!

Now, the reviews for her collection are in, and they aren't pretty!

Tom Sykes of The Daily Beast called it "a horror show," saying:

"Rihanna's show was a tiresome, underwhelming and uninspired marketing exercise. The clothes were hideous and without an ounce of panache or style between them. It was like Fright Night in Kmart."

Whoa! Tell us how you really feel, Tom!

On the other hand, Elle magazine was rather kind, with fashion editor Anne-Marie Curtis saying:

"The collection is an ode to all things high fashion. Think Eighties Norma Kamali meets Alexander Wang luxe sportswear. From fluid jersey dresses to sweatshirts to all-in-ones and varying length skirts almost exclusively in a navy, black and white palette, there are myriad options here for even the most discerning fashion eye. Stand-out items include a black jersey column evening dress, a brilliantly cut bra top, a navy cropped sweatshirt, and a properly fabulous denim jumpsuit."

But since Rihanna is the April cover girl for Elle, maybe this isn't exactly an unbiased review, if you catch our drift!

Good and bad reviews aside, however, we're sure RiRi's laughing all the way to the bank!

    the collection sucks.. Rihanna just stick to what u usually do and have other ppl do it for you then u get all the credit and glory, cuz trying to do it urself isnt working.. what makes u think that regular ppl would wear this crap? Your not Beyonce, stop trying.

    I sorry but this collection looks super CHEAP! Im pretty sure I've seen everything from the collection at the DEB, WetSeator RAVE in the mall. I agree with the critic. You'd think that someone who has access to the best of the best when it comes to fashion would create a collection that's at least half way decent. Which goes to show every celebrity doesn't need a fashion line. But I bet all her stan will eat this shit up, so she still ends up paid.

    She got paid 800.000 £ for the 'job' so I don't think she'll lose any sleep over it one way or the other. Of course if it doesn't sell there won't be many more collections coming.

    Why do good companies like River Island and Nivea hire that pile of trash? I used to love those brands but I'll refrain from buying their products if they think Rihanna is a good spokesperson and thereby rolemodel.

    What did you expect ?! Sometimes rihanna dresses really nice she's not always slutty but this line is perfect for the teenagers who want to dress like whores image your daughters wearing bra tops as a shirt and skirts with splits all the up to the crotch
