John Mayer may not have the most spotless reputation when it comes to women, but he's treating Katy Perry like a princess!
After the two had a romantic Valentine's Day dinner at Vincenti's in El Lay, we spotted the Wide Awake singer wearing a conspicuously shiny ring on her finger and immediately went into a tizzy thinking John had proposed!
Well, we finally have confirmation the one-of-a-kind ring was created by a Santa Barbara-based jeweler named Daniel Gibbings AND John picked it out himself for his lady love, however, a source close to the couple says they're not engaged.
Boo!
So for now, it looks like our Kandy Kween only has John's heart, just not to have and to hold for long as they both shall live.

Or probably she bought it herself and asked the press to put it as his gift. Their relationship will come out as strong, she will show up as deeply compromised and happy after being hugely dumped and able to tame any man and he will show up as the nicest romantic guy nobody thought he could ever possibly be.
