The best part is that this is the first time that MAC is actually collaborating with a celeb for more than just a one-time project, like the Viva Glam collabs. RiRi is going to be an actual "creative partner" and will roll out four collections, called RiRi [Hearts] MAC, with the label throughout this year.
The 25-year-old said:
"When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind — for something legit — is MAC. Whatever color you want, it’s like 'Let’s go to MAC.' I’ve been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always said that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand."
RiRi Woo, a red lipstick inspired by Rihanna's fave Ruby Woo, will be the first product to launch at the same time as Rihanna's Diamonds Tour kicks off on May 4 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
A pop-up shop showcasing the products will also be set up at the same time.
The four collections will include a powder blush duo and Lustre Drops shade in the summer, multishade eye shadow palettes and false eyelashes in the fall, and 10 new items, such as nail polish and a makeup bag, released just in time for the holidays.
The fall and holiday campaigns have already been shot by Mert & Marcus, and since we can never get enough Rihanna, we are just shaking with anticipation to see the pics.
They're obvi gonna be BEYOND HOT!
