Elizabeth Banks Is Over-The-Top In Orange At The Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Oh dear.

We love, love, LOVE when women embrace color, but sometimes it can just go completely wrong.

And we're afraid Elizabeth Banks didn't hit the right notes with this Alexander McQueen gown, belt and bag.

The dress she wore to the Vanity Fair Oscar party was too big and busy to get away with being that bright of a color.

Plus, with a strong lip, a hairstyle we are not feeling, and some bold gold Dior jewels and Brian Atwood shoes, it's all just too much!

But, we'll give a few points for taking a chance and not playing it safe!

I think she looks great, the dress is beautiful. Id change the makeup by getting rid of the harsh lipstick and let her hair down. Otherwise its beautiful.

Way to be a bully. I don't see you anywhere near the oscars. She looks fantastic.

i love this on her! i agree with the lipstick–especially after all the nude lips on the red carpet this year–that would have made it perfection!
