Former Harpo employee sues Oprah and Ralph Lauren for an injury from 2011

Round up the high-power attorneys!

Ralph Lauren and Oprah Winfrey are being sued by a former Harpo sound technician.

The technician alleges that he was injured by the fashion mogul during an Oprah interview back in 2011, which took place on Lauren's Colorado ranch.

According to the victim, while he was securing a microphone onto the back bumper of Ralph Lauren's vintage 1948 Jeep, the designer, who was at the wheel, shifted into reverse and hit him.

As a result, the man suffered injuries to his head, body and limbs, as well as the muscles, tissues, nerves and blood vessels in his head.

He is now suing both Ralph Lauren and Harpo Productions, and wants more than $50,000 in damages.

As far as lawsuits go, $50,000 isn't a whole lot. At least he's not suing for $50 million!

Also, maybe Ralph should take some driving lessons to brush up on the whole not-reversing-while-someone-is-behind-you thing.

As usual something is missing from a story reported here
First off if he worked for Harpo, you know they have great insurance
Next RL is more than well covered for anyone stepping on his property
So asking for $50,000 would be nothing, it would cost RL that just for his attorney to look it over

You are a moron. It has nothing to do with insurance. Insurance would only cover expenses. And the $50,000 is how a case is categorized for the court. As in, over $50,000 in damages or under. Pick up a book. All of you.
