You probably don't because they both sort of fizzled out, but this new venture sounds like the real deal!
After all, who knows shoes better than Carrie Bradshaw?! She spent her life savings on them!
It's just been announced that SJP is partnering up with Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malkemus to launch her own shoe and handbag collection called The SJP Collection.
The 48-year-old recently told Vogue:
"In a silly way, I think it’s what people have expected of me most because of Carrie Bradshaw. It’s sort of soup to nuts. You put on a shoe and you put on a coat and you wear a bag and, on the outside, when you’re walking down the street, they really can tell the same story about yourself."
But don't rush to judgment just yet! Her footwear will be different from everybody else's!
"We’re putting new colors together that people don’t typically do, just beautiful combinations that you wish existed in your closet. And in terms of bags, thinking about that period of the seventies into the eighties, what those women were carrying, taking away the bells and the whistles and hardware and really making it about the bag."
We're sure we can still expect a lot of pointy-toed, single-soled pumps, however. They're her fave!
Production will take place in Europe and NYC, and prices for shoes will range from $200-300 with bags costing no more than $700.
Not total wallet killers!
You can also rest easy knowing that SJP definitely knows what she's doing this time around. She said:
"Because I got to play that role, I wore a lot of shoes and by default I learned an enormous amount. It’s hard to walk away from that."
We only expect the best from you, Sarah!
