Michelle Obama Is Patriotically Pretty During 4th Of July Celebrations!

Land of the free, home of the bravely stylish!

Okay, fine, Michelle Obama did not push any boundaries with her light and airy Band of Outsiders dress during the First Family's 4th of July celebration at the White House on Thursday, but she did look pretty and patriotic.

We couldn't really ask for more!

Without being too obvious, FLOTUS rocked the flag's colors thanks to the blue and white floral print on her frock and dark red flats on her feet.

President Obama, though, missed the color theme memo and appeared in khakis and a salmon pink button-down.

Um, we guess we can give the prez a pass.

I don't get why she's considered such a "fashion/style icon"… She's married to the President shouldn't she have better things to do?

There is nothing patriotic about barry and moochie.

Racism has gotten so bad in the US.

It's interesting, we always get all these articles about how beautiful she is, which is in the eye of the beholder, but when Hill Clinton or Laura Bush aided their husbands in the office, you heard less about the fashion and beauty and more about substance, or what they were doing. Maybe she is just emulating her husband. He looks like a President but we still have high unemployment, his Egypt strategy blew up and Obamacare is being delayed. What does that tell you?

He is the best president ever but she has ZERO style. Terrible. Sorry.

Sorry, but she still looks like someone's cleaning lady.

Re: whatupperez1 – when bush took office in jan. 2001 the unemployment rate was 4.2. when he left it was 7.8 and rising rapidly. when obama took office it was 7.8 and peaked at 10.0 in oct. 2009. it is now 7.6. still high of course but at least slightly lower than when he took office (which you can't say for bush) and he still has three years left in his presidency.

Re: AttFinch – Att, I have not checked recently (decided to retire) but when I was laid off the stats were closer to 12% in California. I have been laid off since 2010 (thank you Obama and India). No luck finding a job. Folks discriminate against people 60 and older. I was even turned down for a job selling medical marijuana.

Oh goodness, there is indeed "room for improvement" in terms of his casual wear in this picture (and many others we have seen before). However, when it comes to his business attire he is a master of personal branding and professional image. We don't know any other politician who is as well dressed as he is. Not one little detail in his wardrobe is chosen by accident. Please, allow us to add our current blog post. We have analyzed his sense of style and his attention to detail:

Don't particularly care for her husband, but I absolutely love Michelle. She's lovely and has this amazing spirit!

    Re: boston61

Boston6, hate to break it to you love, "zero" style or no, Michelle Obama is and will always be what's best about Barack Obama. There would be no "president" Obama without Michelle.

If at 50 you look half as good and dress half as well as Michelle Obama does, you'd be insanely lucky. She's fantastic.
