Abercrombie & Fitch Under Investigation For Only Hiring Ridiculously Good Looking People

Abercrombie & Fitch is being investigated by a Frenchman for unfair hiring practices!

Welp, this isn’t new!

After offending hordes of customers for only offering small sizes in an effort to cater to "cool, good-looking people", Abercrombie & Fitch is under fire once again!

Slimane Laoufi, a member of France's human right watchdog group Defender of Rights, has launched an official investigation into Aber's unfair hiring practices after noticing the Champs-Elysees flagship store for only employing good looking people.

In a statement about the investigation, a rep for the group explained that Abercrombie & Fitch seems:

"…to base its recruitment methods on discriminatory criteria and particularly on physical appearance. In reality to be models and vendors at the same time. While essential and decisive professional requirements can justify taking physical appearance into account when recruiting models, it is different for vendor positions."

Considering that A&F's CEO, Mike Jeffries, has made more enemies than friends as of late, we doubt this will fare well for his corporation.

Can't wait to see what Slimane digs up!

I don't see what the problem is - A&F have always had models and to be a model you generally have to look appealing. It's just the way it's always been for them.

Re: Natasha – no, they are not talking about the models, but about the "vendor positions". Like the actual ppl that work in the store.

He should honestly get a psychologist as a expert witness on trial to explain how body image and the appeal of it is what leads his sells. No teenager would buy their clothes over any other teen place if it wasnt for the fact that they feel like by buying them they are like the models and venders. In my mall lane bryant is in front of Abercrombie, you wanna guess which store the bigger girls go into even though they dont fit in the clothes perfectly? (no really I had to make a survey out of this, the plus sized girls prefer markets that dont catter to them since they feel that buy buying into lane bryant they will be viewed even bigger. And they dont feel confident in it)

Meh, a company should feel free to hire whomever they want. Women and blacks are protected by this, but not fat or unattractive people. So they lose.
