We remember thinking it was a really unusual but awesome idea! Talk about amicable partings!
But things have definitely soured since that "swing bang hum dinger" of a fete as Elson has recently filed a restraining order against her ex-husband.
"Wife fears for her and the children’s safety as a result of this harassment in an inappropriate and aggressive manner."
The restraining order details how White had been sending numerous harassing phone calls, text messages, and emails to Elson regarding the terms of their divorce settlement.
He was also pressuring Elson to remove their children from a class in their private school because one of their classmates is the daughter of The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach.
In emails handed over to the judge by Karen, Jack slams his "rival", saying:
"My concern with Auerbach is because I don't want the kids involved in any of that crap…That's a possible twelve f***ing years I'm going to have to be sitting in kids chairs next to that a**hole with other people trying to lump us in together…[Auerbach] gets yet another free reign to follow me around and copy me and push himself into my world."
The pair have been fighting for months over custody of the children, who are currently in Elson's care, and although White wants to help raise the kids, Elson says that he is unfit.
As of right now, the order bars White from having "any contact with wife whatsoever except as it relates to parenting time with the parties’ minor children."
The report suggests that this type of aggressive behavior from White has precedent:
"This pattern of husband’s bullying wife into submission was a contributing factor in the demise of their marriage."
White is also not allowed to contact Elson except via email, and the pair have a custody hearing on August 29.
