Brian Lichtenberg may have opened a "much needed dialogue" with his new line of "designer drugs" shirts, but he also opened Kitson up for multiple lawsuits!
Can't have your cake and eat it too!
All three prescription drug companies glorified on the back of Lichtenberg's tees have caught wind of the designs, and now Xanax, Vicodin, and Adderall are threatening to pop the El Lay boutique with a trademark infringement lawsuit if they don't pull them from their shelves.
A rep for Adderall released the following statement:
"We had no involvement NOR do we approve of the sale of such a product using Adderall to glorify the misuse of our product."
Vicodin’s rep has similar sentiments, saying:
"Prescription drug use should not be trivialized. It is a serious issue and we will be taking legal action to stop the clothing company from trying to sell such a product."
We're still anxiously awaiting for a comment from Xanax, but they too are considering legal action.
Sounds like all those outraged customers might get what they want after all!
