The comedian attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London on Tuesday, and apparently things got nasty pretty fast!
It all started when Boris Johnson accepted the award for Politician of the Year by making jokes about the recent chemical attacks in Syria.
"Glad to grace the stage where Boris Johnson has just made light of the use of chemical weapons in Syria. Meaning that GQ can now stand for ‘Genocide Quips’. I mention that only to make the next comment a bit lighter because if any of you know a little bit about history and fashion, you'll know Hugo Boss made the uniforms for the Nazis. But they did look f****** fantastic, lets face it, while they were killing people on the basis of their religion and sexuality. Good luck getting more offensive than that, son."
We totes get why Boris needed to be called out, but was it really necessary to bring down the others too?
Russell later tweeted about a run-in with a GQ editor, during which the editor commented on his speech. Russell claims that this is how the convo went:

Once the awkward awards came to an end, Brand showed up to the GQ after party and posed for a few pics, before he was allegedly kicked out.
Russell Brand sure knows how to stir up the dramz, doesn't he?
