Our facial expression exactly, Britney!

American Apparel has done lots of controversial and racy things in the past, but this one really stands out on its own!

The clothing retailer is pushing the envelope with its latest piece up for sale — a $32 t-shirt featuring a rather graphic print of a menstruating vagina that also happens to be depicting masturbation.

No holds barred!

See the tee for yourself…AFTER THE JUMP!!!

American Apparel sells a t-shirt with a bleeding vagina on it! See it HERE!

The item was created by Canadian artist Petra Collins and illustrator Alice Lancaster, and Collins has explained the idea behind the print, saying:

"I decided to put a super-taboo topic right on a t-shirt to make it viewable for everyone. I’m really interested in what is hidden from our culture. We are always repressing or hiding what is natural to a post-pubescent body. We’re taught to hate our menstrual cycle and even to hide masturbation."

Though we can understand her point, we're not sure the world is ready for any kind of bleeding genitalia on a t-shirt!

Would U dare to wear this???

I wouldn't wear, but I don't wear any kind t-shirt with a picture on it, it's just not my style. However, if it's your style, people should wear it. Like she said it's natural and something that happens. So, why not? It doesn't bother me, it kind of doesn't look like what it is. It's a drawing, so it's not like super explicit.

Geez, maybe that is because some things are MEANT to be kept private about ourselves. We share everything else about our lives on social media. Some things should just be kept to yourself! It's called having CLASS and respect for yourself. Wow. I don't care about others body functions and what they do behind closed doors. We aren't repressing anything, we just have common sense. This shirt is just gross and very unnecessary.

Why not have shirts with images of of people defecating too? Or remove dividers and doors from restrooms? Even better why not just move the whole crapper into living rooms and in the middle of restaurants too? Why don't we as a society do these things? Because it's gross, private, stinks and just plain stupid.

Re: KOKO – Have been seeing promos lately for some t.v. show where a couple has sex in front of an audience, albeit behind an opaque screen, and then they come out and 'talk about it'. Voyeurs will rejoice. Eye roll.

Idk what is going on in Canada, but I was never taught to hate my menstrual cycle. I think if women hate it, it's because it's uncomfortable, but it's part of life. Masturbation is private by nature, but people talk about it all the time. Maybe Canada needs to lighten up a bit. The t-shirt is gross.

I am one of the first to celebrate and support free expression but this is not art nor even mildly representative of the elegance and mystery..yes, mystery of the female's genitalia…even the model looks as if she is repeating to herself that she is getting a paycheck…getting a paycheck.. while feigning indifference, I bet she was embarrassed as hell…and the hand looks downright creepy..if the face attached to it looks anything like it, you now have the answer as to why this 'person' is self pleasuring..and I believe that wearing it out would probably be breaking some public decency laws…(sigh)…when changes come too far, too fast, and are all wrong.

This is neither well done enough to be artsy nor bold enough to be avant-garde… its stuck somewhere in the middle.
