Olivia Culpo better appreciate every second she has with boyfriend Nick Jonas these days, because she might not get to be with him much longer!
Turns out she could be sent to JAIL for her recent shoe fiasco!!
Soon after the Miss Universe Organization released a statement on the illegal photo shoot the current Miss Universe had at the Taj Mahal over the weekend, the beauty queen herself opened up about what happened.
In an interview with The Providence Journal, Olivia said she was forced to pose for the pictures against her will!
"I mean, I'm an employee of the Miss Universe organization and following directions given to me. I guess their vision was, 'What's better to identify India than the Taj Mahal?' But unfortunately it's something that was highly offensive. Honestly, I did say out loud at one point, 'Isn't this a little inappropriate?' I was given directions to pose with the shoes and, honestly, 5-inch heels on a 10-inch bench in 90-degree weather — you know, I didn't want to do it. It's upsetting to me that I was a part of that. It's really upsetting because I loved my visit to India, and I would love nothing more than to go back, even in the near future."
The formal investigation on Culpo and her crew is still going on in India, and if found guilty, could be jailed for up to two years and fined 100,000 rupees ($1,600).
We're still confused as to why neither the Central Industrial Security Force nor the tourism police tried to stop her if the "no commercial photos" thing is a well-known rule!
Then again, maybe that's the one thing that will save them from the slammer!
