    My god… it's Halloween, not racism. There is no intended offense at this. This isn't a case where a magazine should have hired a black model but instead chose to make a white woman appear black… this is people dressing up for a silly party.

    HI Perez, I write you from Italy. The costume above mentioned, that you think it's racist against all the African people, here in Italy it's not exactly like that: the persons above depicted reppresented a very famous character of one of our old spots of a very famous brand of candies. I write here the link of the spot:

    I think they were not dressed like that to offend any kind of African person, they just wanted to pay homage to that character (in fact, if you see on their hands they have a sticker which is the brand of the candies). That's it.

    If you are White you don't get to decide if this is offensive. White people love bringing up 'intent' to justify. Guess what you can always lie about intent. The final action speaks louder than an abstract thought of intent in your mind. This is flat out racist bullshit.
