Liberty Ross Talks Rupert Sanders & Kristen Stewart Affair With Vanity Fair!

Liberty Ross finally opens up about her husband's affair with Kristen Stewart!

July 24, 2012 will live in tabloid infamy as the day Kristen Stewart's affair with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders came to light.

It was a cray cray time we won't soon forget, but the person hit hardest by the affair, Rupert's model and actress ex-wife Liberty Ross, has finally moved on.

With over a year gone by since the whole sordid mess hit the fan, the 35-year-old is opening up to Vanity Fair about the ordeal and how she got through it.

In the mag's December issue, she describes the tumultuous experience, saying:

"It was horrible. It was really the worst, really the worst. I have no words to describe what we went through. But I think, for me, something always has to completely die for there to be a rebirth. And, for me, I feel like I’m going through a rebirth."

Rupert apparently confessed about the affair a day before the photos were published all over the world. Liberty's brother, Atticus Ross, recalled the preparation before the storm:

"It was fucking crazy. To some extent at that moment, Rupert was in denial, and Liberty didn’t know what was going to happen…. I’m texting people because I know this is going to be huge. I knew this had all the makings of what our world has become. This is going to be fucking big, and Liberty needs to be protected. It was about it not destroying [Liberty]. I don’t think people understand what being in the eye of that storm is like."

Atticus turned to Jimmy Iovine, who in turn put Liberty in touch with a veteran PR woman who would be able to provide advice and guidance on how to cope with everything.

This may have been the spark that kindled their romance!

Meanwhile, a friend of Atticus graciously gave Liberty access to her coastal home so she could have some privacy. Liberty said:

"I was able to be there completely secluded. I just visualized [being] this sort of Masai warrior. I was just going to stand very still and very strong, and just let it all roll past me. I tried to keep as far away from it as I could and to understand that this is my family and it’s the most precious thing to me."

The model also admits she felt that things were kind of rocky before the affair, saying:

"I knew that I wasn’t feeling 100 percent right. I found myself on a roller coaster, like, I’m going to keep things moving, keep things going. I’m going to keep up this amazing [façade], everyone looking at me and Rupert, thinking, Oh, wow, you guys have it all…. Really, I had times when I felt very lonely, very disconnected from Rupert. We’d lost our real connection."

Despite Rupert's attempts at getting back together, Liberty knew it was time to cut her losses. She said:

"I’m not a quitter. I’ve done everything I could to be the perfect wife and mother and really support my husband. But I just didn’t have any more to give, you know?"

We don't blame you one bit, Liberty! You made the right choice!

God, she is gorgeous. Why a man would want to dally around with a dead-eyed twit that thinks mumbling=acting, I have no fuckin' clue.

Good lord, Vanity Fair is sinking to rag sheet levels. But with Graydon Carter, what did any of us expect? Canadian wannabe!!!

She is pretty, no idea why he would want to cheat on her.

Rupert Sanders is really a bonefide couched bag. Liberty admits they were having problems but what he did was not the answer. He should have been man enough to tell his wife that he wanted to move on. What a coward. But instead he chose to mess around with another woman publicably. To hurt Liberty and his children in the most cruel way. What an Ass. For all you KS fans who want Liberty to be quiet to bad. She does not have to protect KS or Rupert. I hope she tells it all. Liberty has earned the right to tell her side of the story. Rupert and Kristen deserve what they get. Let them feel some of Liberty 's pain.

Re: bjsmith – I agree. KS fans shouldn't complain if this woman wants to speak. I mean, give me a break.

Why is it when this crap starts dying down, someone has to drag it back up? It's done, it's over with move on. Next it will Rupert saying yes he cheated and this is why. Everyone is trying to make Liberty out to be a great wife and mother but none of us where flys on the wall in that marriage and before everyone starts yelling, I am not a KS,RP, RS or LR fan, just an observer thats sits back and laughs at the bullshit that comes out of the movie industry.

I love all these "she is so gorgeous" comments like that is all it takes to make a marriage work. Time to move on from all this people are so selective with their hate. Everyone can't get enough of Sierra Miller right now but I bet Balthazar Getty's wife disagrees. Not your marriage, boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, husband or kids soooooooo let it go.

The guy thought he could have his cake and eat it too. He lost his whole cake instead.
He should have thought with the top head.
