If you were looking forward to reading a salacious exposé of Gwyneth Paltrow in an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair, you may be out of luck!

Apparently Gwynnie and Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter have buried the hatchet!

A source said:

"Gwyneth and Graydon spoke on the phone a few weeks ago. They worked out some of their differences. There may be a story, but it won't be as bad as it originally was going to be."

Boo! Er, we mean, YAY! We're so glad they've worked things out!

Guess all that campaigning worked!

Another source also added that the rumored story of Gwyneth cheating on Chris Martin with Elle Macpherson's billionaire hubby is totes not true and wasn't going to be in the profile anyway!

Uhh… ok?

The second source revealed:

"The story was never going to be as bad as tabloids were guessing. That whole angle about the alleged affairs was something that was made up by Page Six and was never something that anyone at Vanity Fair believed was legitimate and was never going to be in a story they were working on."

Well, we're still going to keep an eye out on all new Vanity Fair issues!

You never know!

That was a FAKE story from day one. Everybody told you so.

VF caved big time!! They were either threatened with a lawsuit, or GP had some of her powerful friends "make the call". Stephen Spielberg comes to mind. Both are tarnished!! VF looks weak, and GP looks guilty. And no extra magazines were sold, seems like a lose lose to me!!

VF used to be a good magazine but have not read it in months now. Glad to hear they worked things out.

If Ms Paltrow had nothing to hide, why not let the story print….if LIES were included in the story, then she had the legal right to sue Conde-Nast, not, as she did, tell her friends not to cooperate with the writer……if it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck, it's got to be a DUCK……

Paltrow is anxious about her indiscretion getting out now because he is now married and he is also being sued for flying a plane without a license in which his friend died and he tried to get off paying appropriate $ to the widow. Paltrow certain knows she is not well liked by the public and is doing all she can to disappear after this.

Re: overthere – Sure it was fake; keep telling yourself that one because you are the only one that believes it. VF has become soo boring, not worth subscribing to any longer.

Graydon should lose his job. They had AMPLE dirt on this woman who has dozens of hideous secrets and his reporters had a shocking and solid story. It was simply pure $$$ (Chris's BTW, although they have not been together for years, she blackmails him using children who want to be with him, not her) that Goop used on legal and PR on it. Same with People mag, other major sources like websites etc. Millions of dollars spent. Boycott Vanity Fair and their advertizers and just for fun write Mr. Carter a letters to the editor at VF. Totally exhibited lack of any and all journalistic integrity.
