Julianna Margulies' Golden Leafy Ball Gown Is A Miss At The 2014 Golden Globes

Leafy and floral details sound like the trend at the Golden Globes this year but there are a few hits and misses on the carpet!

And Julianna Margulies' black Andrew GN Resort 2014 gown is definitely a miss for us!

The Good Wife star stepped out on the red carpet with a mini ball gown-esque dress but we are not feeling the gold leaf detail, the plunging V-neck, or the leafy look on the sleeves of the dress at all!

That updo looks perf though!

Better luck next time with your dress choice, Jules!

You're completely wrong — she looks beautiful. And what the hell do you know about fashion anyway? Just because you're gay?

What? This is a beautiful, classy, and sexy dress. She looks stunning!

Re: irvinegirl – Did you even read what the post says? He isn't saying she isn't good looking. He is making comments about the details about the dress and he isn't the only one who thinks this, gay or not. The dress would have looked better cropped shorter without the lower leafing. The material looks heavy and off-balances the rest of the dress which is quite stunning.

As for how Perez knows anything about fashion, and claiming because he is gay is just ridiculous. How many fashion shows, red carpet events, brand launches, industry events, interviews and entertainment shows asking your advice? Perez has also maintained a sister-site devoted entirely to fashion for years now, linked directly at the top of the pace and off every one of these posts, on this very you have spent the time to create a an account with. I'd call that more than enough experience to form educated and experienced opinions, posted on his own personal blog no less whether you like him or not. If you think that gay people think they have great taste and entitled to throw around opinions based on who they have sex with, then you need a reality check. I don't even give a crap about Perez's opinions or credentials, but as a gay person, I am just sick of people posting this kind of ignorant garbage.

this is actually one of the only dresses i liked from all of the ones pictured on here. i think if they made this dress around knee length is would be a cute party dress. most of the dresses i've seen were super awful in my opinion. i dont care who designed them they were flat out ugly as hell. and whats with these 2 toned dresses.. no thanks i didnt like any of them.. this dress is simple and the gold leafy pattern looks pretty. maybe a little less details on the bottom would of been ok but overall its a great dress compared to the others

Mr. Perez, I feel anger in the tone of almost every commentary you made tonight, no matter who the actor was. It took the pleasure out of things for me. I usually enjoy reading you're take on celebs. A touch of PMS perhaps?

TOTALLY DISAGREE. This was one of the Best of the night.

This was my absolute favorite of the night and she looks stunning in it.

Absolutely the wrong assessment. This is the same neckline as the Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress, very flattering. The style is a perfect blend for the Globes - elegant but understated.
