They look pretty cool! Lots of peep-toes and inneresting cut-outs!
The actress is the new artistic director of shoe brand Pour La Victoire (for the win, in French!), and offered up mostly neutral tones and sensible heels for the fall 2014 collection.
While she won't be appearing in any ads for the company, or even have her name on any of the shoes, she's very serious about her new role and willing to learn.
“In fashion, you have pre-fall, fall, holiday. You have all these little mini collections that you have to do. I can’t keep track of it. It’s literally not my language. But I’m trying to learn it. They are teaching me and I’m learning from them, and they are learning from me.
This is very important to me. I’m not a person who does anything halfway.”
Cameron is also interested in helping the brand build more of an identity, explaining:
“When I first came to PLV, I saw the potential in it because it was a brand that didn’t really have its own identity. It was a little bit all over the place. I looked at it as an opportunity to help create that.”
Her main goal remains getting customers to fall in love with the brand itself and not just with her attachment to it. She said:
“I don’t want girls to aspire to be me. That’s not what this brand is about. It’s not about wearing a shoe I would wear. I want them to see themselves in this shoe.”
