Just when you thought the thigh gap craze was ending…
Target recently continued their string of awkward missteps by photoshopping a higher "thigh gap" onto one of their swimsuit models.
See some of their past errors HERE and HERE!
A customer noticed this most recent blunder after zooming in on one of Target’s bikini photos, which revealed a shoddily executed photoshop job (as you can see above).
When people started bringing the matter to Target’s attention, the retailer emailed an apology, saying:
"This was an unfortunate error on our part and we apologize. We have removed the image from our website."
We're not quite sure "unfortunate" is good enough in this case, especially since so many young girls are starving themselves to attain such an unrealistic feature!
Definitely not one of the best apologies we’ve ever heard, and that still doesn’t explain why they bothered to photoshop the crotch area to begin with!
Guess it'll remain a mystery…
