Victoria's Secret Customer Unknowingly Tries On BLOOD-SMEARED Bikini Bottom And THIS Is How They Handled It! Gross!!

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooVictoria's SecretRetail TherapyBikiniGIFs

A Victoria's Secret customer found and tried on a bloody bikini bottom in a San Diego store!

Ew.

Disclaimer: You know we love those fabulous Angels, and before you dive into this story, it should be kept in mind that (as far to our knowledge) this has only happened in one store, but… … it's still disgusting!

As bikini season is fast approaching, an anonymous shopper in San Diego naturally hit up the Victoria’s Secret in SD’s University Town Center to try on some bathing suits.

But what happened next had her shocked and appalled!! She allegedly tried on a bikini bottom that had a decent amount of what she thinks was dried menstrual blood on the suit's sanitary lining.

According to the shopper:

“[The bikini bottoms] all had the plasticky sanitary strips in them, which I could feel when I was pulling them on. Obviously I left my underwear on, but as I was pulling off a pair of bikini bottoms, I noticed dried blood in the crotch! Not even a small drop - a quarter-sized amount, plus smears, all around the ‘sanitary strip’! It was awful. Somehow that garment had been picked up from the fitting room, PUT BACK ON ITS HANGER, and re-racked where I grabbed it to try on.”

Ummmm….WHO DOES THAT??

What reasonable human would leave a bloody bikini bottom in the store for someone else to try on???

That sort of experience sounds like enough to dissuade anyone from trying on bathing suits EVER again!

To make matters worse, when the customer confronted the store manager about her horrifying discovery, she was handed some hand sanitizer along with a 30% off coupon before being sent on her way.

She followed up by calling a customer care line and asking about protocol for that type of incident, of which they had none because it’s "never happened" before.

The customer was left flustered and confused, and said:

“I won't shop there again, and the fact that they take my business so for-granted that they offered me a 30% off coupon for my NEXT visit (I couldn't have even used it that day if I'd been willing to) is insulting.”

While we understand her outrage, we can only imagine both the manager and customer care people were completely perplexed as well!

However, stores who let customers try on bathing suits or underwear should probably incorporate a system to double check for oddities left on the linings before re-racking. Because who knows!!

VS claims to have strict protocols in place, but just a note for other customers out there — it might be a good idea to check for stuff like that before trying things on!!

How did the blood get throught the plastic protection?

Sweetie, they started taking your business for granted when they stopped giving a fuck about womens feelings and catering to perverted mens fantasies, which is why I have boycotted them for the past 8 years. i will not by a rag from them.

Bit of an over-reaction here. Can you really expect a minimum wage store employee to be 100% diligent all the time? Stuff happens. Personally, I always check myself before trying stuff on. And what does she want them to do - give her a huge cheque? Just for being grossed out?

Seriously? It's really not the biggest deal she's making it out to be. Stores, especially VS get busy and you miss seeing that and put it back on the hanger. What does she want them to do that she's making it so public? I've found poop smears on the crotch of a jumper when I worked at bebe, I sent it back to HQ to handle but I could have easily missed it.

I work at Victoria's Secret and you can use that 30% coupon right away. It's common sense to check things before trying them on. Some people may not check stuff before puting it back on the floor, but that doesn't mean everyone doesn't.

That girl is gross for trying on bottoms, and not checking them. Yes, the employees are supposed to check but there's alot of clothing there. This girl should have regardless of people doing or not doing there job looked at these bikini bottoms before trying them on, she's digusting and I imagine she just does that anywhere.

This happened to me with one of the "freebie" panties that they give away with coupons. I went in, grabbed, a pair of underwear that the coupon was for, checked out and left. It wasn't until I got home that I saw a huge blood stain (and since it was underwear there was no sanitary liner). It was absolutely disgusting. Even after complaints, the most the store would offer me was to replace the pair. No 30% off, nothing.

I used to work for a lingerie store and you wouldn't believe what people tried to bring return. It was nasty. Our policy was to not take returns on under garments, but there were always exceptions. We couldn't sell the products after they were returned, but one of the girls was a complete moron and put them back on the floor before I could stop her. It happens.

Customers are out of control these days. It's common sense to CHECK what you're trying on before you try it on. When you are in an environment where there is no advantage to gaining something free or suing someone I'm sure you are more conscious of your surroundings. Fucking people man. She got a 30% off coupon some hand sanitizer and an apology what else does she really want? What else does she really think she is entitled to? Free merchandise forever? What is the price on EVERYONE in the situation overlooking something that didn't end up hurting anyone or costing her anything. Get a grip.

Se supone que el panty linner sea cambiado cada vez que alguien se mida el traje de baño, corresponde al cliente quitar su panty linner y depositarlo en el zafacón.

  11. 11

sometimes there customer service is really bad, unless your purchasing something .

I worked at VS for several years too, and I agree with some of those below. What was she expecting them to do for her? Besides, for all we know, that bottom could have easily been put back by the customer the stains came from because obviously they would've seen it and was probably too embarrassed to give it to the associate. It is definitely gross, but nothing to make a big deal out of.

I started my weight loss journey at the beginning of the year, kind of as a New Year's Resolution. I've lost 40 pounds so far and I feel AMAZING!! Try this system:

Okay, people who are taking this lightly. Ever hear of blood-born diseases? They include HIV, Hepatitis B, Hemoglobin C, and VHF. The lady trying on the bikini bottom was lucky that she kept her underwear on. The woman that left her blood on that bikini bottom is disgusting. Why would you try on a bikini bottom from a store without your underwear when you're on your period?

  17. Alice says – reply to this

    17

I buy from liquidation pallets of bathing suits every year. Merchandise pulled because it was tried on or returned etc. There are A LOT of bathing suits with period blood and other "stuff" on them. It's not the stores fault. They can't closely inspect everything. It's that idiots fault. She's mad someone put it on a hanger without noticing? She put it on her body! And the girl who soiled it obviously wouldn't tell anyone. She's lucky to get that 30% coupon they sell for a shit load on eBay.

Are most of you for real? You are here blaming the girl from trying out the bottom of a bikini when the fault is VS? How can a store with that MUCH reputation hang out a blood stained bikini bottom in a store without checking? It is their duty to check the products they display in their store, and definitely not the clients job to check everything they are going to try on hand. What ever happened to morals with some of you? Your rants against this poor girl is totally unheard of.Instead of blaming the VS store for not living up to the reputation they try to present world wide, you are hear blaming the shopper? World gone upside down!

I worked at VS and I was appalled to learn that ppl try underwear I mean bras I think is ok to try on but bottoms.??? Panty liner provided or not… very unsanitary!!!! It should be illegal to try on… We all know our sizes by now!
But this story for instance, seems sketchy to me so the customer did not notice a quarter size stain until after taking me of ???? I bet she was the one that stained them. Anyone could notice that way before trying them on… Regardless it's so fucking disgusting…. After working there I never buy anything on the shelf I always ask to get my item from the warehouse.

Life happens, and to me this is a HUGE over reaction. She kept her underwear on, it was dry what was left behind so get over it! Ya I would be completely grossed out too but I wouldn't expect to be compensated or for the store rep to have a huge reaction. There is no reason why someone would "purposely" hand up those bottoms that were dirty. It. Was. An. Accident. Enjoy the 30% off and learn the lesson to look before trying on.
    Over and out!

    23

that's nasty it is the stores fault if you ask me 100 percent! they are suppose to check those things and it sounds like it was hidden under the sanitary liner like an employee did it. because you cant exchange them once you leave the store with then. the customer was probably in a rush and didn't notice it but at least she kept her undies on!

Grow up and act like an adult. Shiz happens. Give the offending bottoms to the unaware staff, and try on a different pair.

I worked in retail for a long time and you'd be surprised how often that happens.

  26. 26

Eh, usually when I'm done, I put the clothes I just tried on back onto the rack they take back out to put them back. Sometimes I'll even go put them back myself. It's possible the employees didn't really even have a chance to check.
