We wonder if the company CEO also volunteered!
That's right, volunteer as in "free!"
Not cool. Especially since many salaried employees already work longer than 40 hours a week without getting paid more.

Comic-Con and fashion have been associated for ages!!
You’ve seen the photos — all the biggest geeks usually attend dressed as their favorite Comic-Con character. In fact, last year Bryan Cranston showed up dressed as himself!
So FINALLY some genius thought of the idea of putting on a “Geek Couture” fashion show at San Diego Comic-Con, and it’s happening this year!!
According to the organizer, Star Wars’ Ashley Eckstein at Her Universe:
“Fangirls are already using the halls of San Diego Comic-Con International as their runway to showcase custom fashions. We wanted to give these designers a bigger stage to share their talent and also provide an educational experience in the fashion industry.”
Her Universe allows contestants to submit custom fashion designs online that are not costumes, but rather fashions inspired by “anything that is celebrated at Comic-Con”. Out of the submissions, 30 designers will be chosen to compete in the Her Universe Fashion Show on July 24th!
The resulting Geek Couture will be judged by a panel, and the top two designers will win a chance to co-design an exclusive Her Universe collection for Hot Topic.
P.S. If you're a designer, you can start submitting designs HERE.
