We wonder if the company CEO also volunteered!
That's right, volunteer as in "free!"
Not cool. Especially since many salaried employees already work longer than 40 hours a week without getting paid more.

Took them long enough!
American Apparel CEO Dov Charney has been hit with sexual harassment claims and lawsuits for years now, but the company's board has always backed him up. Guess they ran out of excuses this time!
According to a press release distributed yesterday, the board has voted to terminate Charney's role as both chairman and CEO, citing "alleged misconduct" as the cause.
"The board’s decision to replace Mr. Charney grew out of an ongoing investigation into alleged misconduct. We take no joy in this, but the Board felt it was the right thing to do. Dov Charney created American Apparel, but the Company has grown much larger than any one individual and we are confident that its greatest days are still ahead."
Charney was attempted to reach by phone, but immediately hung up and sent all subsequent calls to voicemail.
The statement also added that the company is actively looking for Charney's successor:
“The Board is working with a search firm to identify candidates for the job of permanent CEO and, based on our initial discussions with the search firm, we expect the list of possible successors will be impressive."
Looking forward to a CEO who'll be a true professional and won't be constantly accused of sexual harassment.
