Gigi Hadid is FINALLY defending herself!
Earlier this year, the blonde beauty and her BFF Kendall Jenner became targets of some serious shade from their fellow fashionistas after being granted supermodel status last year.
Both Stephanie Seymour and Rebecca Romijn have publicly dissed the girls' fashion fame, and discredited their success because of their Instagram notoriety.

And while the two ladies were quick to clarify their controversial comments, Gigi's still got something to say about this apparent divide in the modeling industry!
Zayn Malik's girlfriend opened up to André Leon Talley during the latest episode of Vogue's podcast, admitting that IG helped her springboard into stardom:
"It's a way that people get to know us other than a face on a page. We are given the opportunity to spread our wings in so many different industries because people get to know us; they start to understand different levels of our personalities and our talents."
But Miz Hadid still admires the greats from previous generations, because she added:
"Obviously, Cindy [Crawford] and Claudia [Schiffer] and Naomi [Campbell] — no one can do it better than them in the time that they were in. I think that the reason why Kendall and Cara [Delevingne] and Karlie [Kloss] and I are kind of … able to have this moment right now is because the industry needed a change to be able to welcome in another generation."
She makes a good point!
But we do find it inneresting that the 21-year-old conveniently left out Rebecca and Stephanie while she was naming older iconic beauties!
And even though the El Lay native is stunning, she still gets hurt by digital bullying:
"Everyone is affected by the pressures that come from being on social media, and we're all human. I'll never say that it doesn't affect me."
Well, we're just glad Gigi is standing up for herself!
