There's no denying Zendaya's a force to be reckoned with!

In fact, it almost feels wrong that the It-girl has only JUST landed her first Vogue cover. Nonetheless, the Disney darling brought her A-game for her feature in the celebrated magazine. Not only did Zendaya participate in a fun video where she displayed 100 years of fashion, she also got pretty candid about how her activism efforts and career have become one in the same.

Currently, the rising star is making the press rounds in order to promote her upcoming blockbuster, Spider-Man: Homecoming. Although the Marvel Studios movie role is her first in a feature film, the industry vet has been a powerhouse for awhile now. In addition to starring in her own Disney Channel show, the triple threat demanded she be made a producer.

On how she went head to head with Disney during negotiations for her show, K.C. Undercover, the up-and-comer explained:

"I got in a room with the heads of Disney Channel, I was like, ‘The title is whack. That's gonna change.'…A lot of people don't realize their power. I have so many friends who say yes to everything or feel like they can't stand up for themselves in a situation. No: You have the power."

Impressive. Still, the moment Zendaya catapulted to A-list fame was when she clapped back at Giuliana Rancic for making those unsavory comments about her dreadlocks at the Oscars. On her decision to respond to the TV host's shade, the 20-year-old noted:

"I went to my room, gathered my thoughts, and wrote something down, which is what two teachers would have wanted me to do."

Since then, it's been hard to separate the actress from the activist — and Zendaya does not mind. As some of you may know, the starlet was raised in Oakland, CA. While the city may be different these days, Zendaya's father, Ajamu Coleman, says the younger generation knows exactly what their elders went through during the civil rights movement. At one point, Z chimed in:

"Everything sprung out of Oakland from a hard place, and it turned beautiful."

Hear! Hear!

This progressive mindset made things difficult for Zendaya as she struggled with an identity crisis early in her career. At first, the former child star tried to fit into the "Disney Channel" mold. Unfortunately, this persona didn't sit comfortably with her as she relayed:

"Slowly I realized that was stupid. People think I'm cool when I'm Zendaya."

LOVES it. But between her activism and her growing career, we wonder, where does love fit into this equation? Well, as of right now, it doesn't. Shockingly, last spring Zendaya's boyfriend of four years pulled the plug on their relationship. Even though she's moved on, the fashionista reflected:

"It was my first love. It wasn't a good ending. You know you're OK in a breakup when your first thought is not, 'What did I do wrong?' It's, 'That was the dumbest decision of your life, and you're going to regret it forever.'"

Snap! Snap! Be sure to ch-ch-check out the full interview for yourself AND (as promised) watch Zendaya as she tries on different looks from the past century.
