Life isn't always so easy growing up in the spotlight.
We've watched Justin Bieber mature (?) through every up and down in the public eye since he was a preteen. While that's part of the deal when pursuing a career in entertainment — it can definitely take its toll.
In an interview with NME which will be released Friday, the 21-year-old singer opened up about the flip side of fame that he struggles with every day.

The Sorry singer shared:
"I just want people to know I'm human. I'm struggling just to get through the days. I think a lot of people are. You get lonely, you know, when you're on the road. People see the glam and the amazing stuff, but they don't know the other side. This life can rip you apart."
So much so, Selena Gomez' ex relates to the tragic story of the legendary Amy Winehouse:
"I watched the Amy Winehouse documentary [Amy] on the plane and I had tears in my eyes because I could see what the media was doing to her, how they were treating her. People thought it was funny to poke her when she was at rock bottom, to keep pushing her down until she had no more of herself. And that's what they were trying to do to me."
The Canada native — whose new album Purpose comes out on Friday — admitted that despite he's constantly surrounded by attention, he often feels alone:
He sure is helping us stock up on new music before his hiatus.
We were slightly heartbroken last week when Sam Smith announced that he would be taking a break from the entertainment industry following his Spectre publicity tour.
Luckily, it seems like the 23-year-old knows how difficult that'll be for all of us, because not only did he drop Drowning Shadows on Monday, but now he's covering Amy Winehouse staples as well!

Amy's lyrics paired with Sam's powerhouse vocals make for an absolutely beautiful track that will leave you in tears. Seriously.

Everyone seems to love a good scandal or controversy but it's important to remember that at the end of the day, we're all human and quite often there's a beautiful side.
