Well, the dress has been found ... to be a fake!
The thief who took the gown says he took the dress from Lupita's room at The London after finding the door ajar.

He has been the host of the Late Show for what seems like ages!
David Letterman has lived, breathed, and known nothing else other than his gig on late night television, but that will all be coming to an end on the day of his last show — May 20th!
However, David recently told Regis Philbin, who guest hosted David's show on Tuesday night, that was looking forward to his retirement.
Even though he has absolutely no plans or idea about what he'll be doing then!
Here's what David told Regis:
Well this is certainly some exciting news!
When will Stephen Colbert be taking the reigns?
Well, The Late Show has finally gotten a fall premiere date and it's only nine-months away —
This is every talk show host's dream!
The actor was saying glowing things about his new wife Emily (née Livingston) Goldblum, who is a former Olympic gymnast for Canada!
And Jeff was so excited to talk about her that he just started making one announcement after the other! Not only are the newlyweds expecting a baby, but it's a boy, and the name will be…
Well, you'll have to ch-ch-check out the video (above) to see what they're thinking for a name.
Congrats to the couple!
P.S. Come for the baby news, stay for Emily's amazing flexibilities!
This is HIGHlarious!
For some people, being on Fashion Police's Worst Dressed List is a nightmare!
But for people like David Letterman, well, let's just say he wasn't even aware that there is a worst dressed list! LOLz!
The Late Show host had guest Kathy Griffin on, and she explained to him why he is one of the Worst Dressed.
So, the comedienne turned to Paul Shaffer who was wearing what HAS TO BE one of his top five finest suit ensems!
Ch-ch-check it out (below) to get some big laughs.
Ah! Kathy Griffin is totally ready for her Fashion Police debut!!
With less than a week to the air date, the comedienne and new host is making the rounds!
Not only did she make an appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman on Monday night, but she also stopped by Girls' season four premiere, too!
And to prove just how style savvy she is, she rocked a different dress for each!
A white fitted frock with black strappy sandals was perfect for her late night appearance, while the floral shift she wore to the Girls premiere flawlessly flattered her trim figure.
Kathy is killing it! We just hope she can bring it on-screen!

This tribute to the musician who has been appearing on the Late Show under David Letterman's watch for almost thirty years is SO heartwarming!
That person is singer Darlene Love and her awesome song Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) which she has sang once a year on the late night show since 1986!!!
And after this year — it'll be her last time EVER performing for the show (unless Colbert keeps her)!
DAMN GURL, werk that piano!
The Fancy singer was accompanied by Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend on the piano and she definitely used that piano for more than just a musical accompaniment.
She got up on top of it in some HUGE high heels and sang her heart out. We LOVE it!
Not to mention her vocals were totally ON POINT.
Seriously, though! Ch-ch-check out the whole performance (below)!
