We continue to learn more about Yann Arnaud, the Cirque du Soleil performer who died this weekend after sustaining massive injuries in a fall during one of the show's VOLTA acts in Tampa, Florida on Saturday night.

Arnaud's Instagram has become a telling source of his passions, his love of life, and the love he had for his young family — but it's also the place where he recently hinted at a new, difficult stunt that he was adding to his act.

As it turned out, this apparently was the stunt that led to the married father's death, too. So, so sad…

Two days, ago, Arnaud and a fellow aerialist both posted photos with captions on their Instagram accounts describing how "after a long road" they were prepared to "perform tonight a straps act" that had been difficult to learn.

Here's the post Arnaud put up just hours before the accident that would end up causing his death (below):

So scary!

Olympic snowboarders take their lives in their hands every time they launch 15 feet into the air, but it's rare we see the danger up close.

On Thursday, Austria's Markus Schairer lost control of his board during his second to last jump and came down on his back, snapping his neck backward.

The Austrian Olympic committee confirmed Schairer had fractured his fifth cervical vertebrae — and somehow was able to stand on his own after a few moments and finish the course!

They don't believe there is any long-term damage or mental impairment, which frankly is a freakin' miracle.

Sending positive vibes and hoping for your speedy recovery, Markus!
