Matt Damon is laying low!

Following his controversial statements while commenting on the sexual misconduct scandals rocking Hollywood, Matt Damon was noticeably not present at the Los Angeles screening of his film Downsizing on Monday!

A Paramount Pictures rep spoke on behalf of the A-lister, saying he was out of town "dealing with an ongoing family matter." It's been reported his father isn't doing well.

Regardless, his costars Laura Dern, Kristen Wiig, Hong Chau, Niecy Nash, and director Alexander Payne (above) were all in attendance (above)!

Kristen even spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the controversy:

"It's a delicate thing for everyone to talk about and I feel like we're all learning. I have friends who have just told me stories of things that happened to them that I had no idea about it. It's just been a heartbreaking thing for everybody."

And while Laura hadn't yet heard Matt's comments due to Star Wars promo, she did say, "We've got to all figure out a way to work together" and learn to not "bully [each other] on social media."

It must be so awkward for them!

But maybe it was for the best Damon wasn't there?? Although we sincerely hope his family is okay!!

What do YOU think?

matt damon sexual misconduct interview

What a disaster of an interview.

On Thursday, Matt Damon tried to tackle the many controversial sexual misconduct scandals which have plagued Hollywood — and totally put his foot in his mouth in the process. While speaking with ABC News' Peter Travers about the post-Harvey Weinstein era that is currently upon us, Damon noted that it was "wonderful that women are feeling empowered to tell their stories."

However, the A-lister then insisted that there is a "spectrum of behavior" and suggested that not all misconduct should result in loss of work. You've gotta be kidding us.

Three years after her death, Joan Rivers is still near and dear to our hearts.

On Friday, daughter Melissa Rivers spoke to US Weekly about her new scrapbook Joan Rivers Confidential, which features never before told stories of the legendary comedian using photos and notes from her famous friends.

Because the book is so personal, the 49-year-old describes the creative process as "tough" and "emotionally difficult." She confessed:

"It got tough at times, especially having to decide what I wanted to share about emotionally difficult times in my family."

However, she knows her mother — who passed in 2014 — would have a sense of humor about the entire project.

"I think her first question would be, ‘How many have we sold?'… I think she would be very annoyed that there are some [photos] in there from the early days — before retouching really became a standard operation and procedure."'

Although Fashion Police ended recently on November 27, the producer is proud of "the fact that I helped create and I got to be a part of a show that ran for 22 years… it's something I'm so proud of and so proud of in my personal legacy and in my mother's legacy and the legacy of us working together."

But what would her mother think about former Fashion Police host and friend Kathy Griffin's recent controversy?

This year, the redhead has been in feuds with Andy Cohen, Donald Trump, Bill O'Reilly, Anderson Cooper, Lisa Bloom, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck.

Melissa holds nothing back, saying:
