The actress shared a #ThrowbackThursday snap of the iconic comedian when she was just a little girl, and it's just too cute for words!

Melissa shared the pic (below) and said:
This is exactly what we expected from her.
News broke yesterday that Joan Rivers death was deemed avoidable — due to improper procedure by Yorkville Endoscopy Center, and that just makes us mad.
Well, Melissa Rivers is even MORE infuriated, and rightfully so.

In fact, she is reportedly planning to file a multimillion-dollar wrongful death lawsuit against them, due to their negligence in treating her mother.
Melissa's lawyers, Jeffrey B. Bloom and Ben Rubinowitz, released a statement in regards to her thoughts and how "disappointed" she is by everything.
It's heartbreaking to think that Joan Rivers won't be around for any more Halloweens — or for the day after to make fun of people's costumes!
But at least the late comedian's daughter Melissa Rivers is keeping her memory alive.

Melissa shared a darling throwback pic of herself and her mom at a costumed event supporting children affected by AIDS in 2004 — and it's just so sweet!

After losing her mother, Joan Rivers, during a surgery that somehow went wrong, Melissa is still waiting for answers about what happened.
While it was ruled that Joan passed from a lack of oxygen, Melissa understandably wants to know what happened in the operating room to cause all this.

Now, she will reportedly file a lawsuit in order to get the truth.
It's no surprise that Melissa Rivers will reportedly inherit the bulk of Joan Rivers' estate.
Sources have revealed the legendary comedienne's daughter will receive $75 million in cash and her mother's beautiful $35 million Upper East Side condo.
Melissa's 13-year-old son Cooper will be given his own endowment, as well.

This news comes just one week after Joan's official cause of death was released.
Melissa tweeted following the New York City Medical Examiner's announcement — but has remained silent since.

A person from the NYC Medical Examiner says that happened because Joan's daughter Melissa Rivers was deep in mourning that she decided not to have one done.
And New York law says that wish will be honored for families as long as there's no "evidence of criminality" involved in the person's death.
