A North Dakota woman, Sherri Dickson, was already a grown woman at the age of 51 years old and had three children of her own. On top of that, she has multiple sclerosis and autoimmune disease that attacks the central nervous system.
Though the disease was in remission, it's still incredible that she agreed to carry her daughter, Mandy Stephens' child!

Mandy and her husband had fertility struggles for years including an instance where she went into early labor and ended up losing the child which the couple had already named Theo.
Sherri said that it was very hard to see her daughter go through and deal with Theo's death.
Due to Mandy's experience, her doctors explained to her that a premature birth could occur again. Stephens and her husband were faced with several options, but when her mom stepped up and offered to carry her daughter's baby for her, it seemed like the best plan. Sherri says of the decision:
