We're glad she's speaking out!

This level of hate and ignorance is appalling.
On April 16, Dr. Erica Kolat, the superintendent of McGuffey School District, made a public apology for a group of McGuffey High School students who organized an "anti-gay day" in response to the LGBT community's Day of Silence.
A day before the horrible incident, LGBT students and their supporters took a vow of silence to combat bullying. According to sources at the school, the day of silence event went off without a hitch and the tone was respectful.
Cut to a day later — in protest of the Day of Silence, a group of angry students wore flannel shirts to school with the words "anti-gay" on their hands.
A horrified student explained:
"There was pushing, posters hung on homosexual students' lockers. Teachers were having to run out and take them down."
Wow, what a horrible experience for the school community to endure.
In response to the backlash, Dr.Erica Kolat released the following statement:
"Yesterday afternoon, April 16, 2015, allegations of harassment were brought to the attention of our administration. McGuffey School District, along with school police officers, continue to investigate all allegations. We will follow our Student Code of Conduct, and file legal citations, as warranted. We resolve to ensure that all children can grow and learn in a safe, supportive environment free from discrimination."
Well, we're glad the school is handling the matter ASAP and in a respectful way.
In response to the hate, a few students showed their support for the school's LGBT community with homemade signs.

We commend those students who stood up to the hate and we hope this terrible incident will act as a learning experience for young people.
As if we needed more reasons to love Reba McEntire!
Everyone's favorite country singer-turned-sitcom star was just awarded one of The Academy of Country Music's 50th Anniversary Milestone Awards on Sunday, so it makes sense that she's been doing a lot of press.
In fact, one of her interviews was all about her role as an LGBT Ally and gay icon, and we love her even more than we already did for her stance on the whole equality thing.
Reba opened up about her positive opinions on gay marriage, saying:
Something's troubling the seas for Johnny Depp in this photo!
Much to the delight of patient fans everywhere, producer Jerry Bruckheimer released the first image of Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
The fifth installment of the franchise had been put on hold back in March when the 51-year-old actor injured his hand on set. Thankfully, Amber Heard's husband is well and working again as production picks back up in Australia.
Despite a less-than-stellar recent run of box office numbers, we're hoping this movie will catapult Johnny back into the hits of Hollywood! We'll see July 7, 2017!

It's a who-wore-it-better showdown of epic proportions!
On Monday Barbie stepped out in LA wearing a pink-and-black mini dress with scalloped yoke that we immediately noticed looked just like a Victoria by Victoria Beckham dress Posh Spice wore back in 2011!
The question pretty much asks itself!
Who Wore It Better???

P.S. Whoever runs this Barbie Instagram — God bless you.
What heartbreaking news!
On April 21, Paris Hilton revealed that her beloved dog of 12 years, Tinkerbell, had passed away.
The adorable Tink had been a constant companion to Paris, especially during her Simple Life days.
Check out Hilton's heartbreaking revelation (below)!
My heart is broken💔 I am so sad & devastated. 😖 After 14 amazing years together my baby Tinkerbell has passed away of old age. 😭 I feel like I've lost a member of my family. She was such a special & incredible soul. We went through so much together. I can't believe she's gone. I will miss her & think about her for the rest of my life. I love you Tinky, you are a Legend & will never be forgotten. 👑🐺👑 #RIPTinkerbell 🙏A photo posted by Paris Hilton (@parishilton) on Apr 21, 2015 at 2:58pm PDT
Aww, what sad news. We definitely agree that Tinky was a legend and we know she'll be sorely missed by many.
Take a look at this cameo Tink had in Hilton's reality show, My New BFF (below)!
Is there another mother of Dragons? Sort of.
It's hard to compete with the hotness that is Emilia Clarke, especially in the form of her fan-favorite Game of Thrones character Daenerys Targaryen. But if anyone could give Khaleesi a run for her money, it's Khaleesi's stunt double!
Rosie Mac has been standing in as a double for Clarke during the hit fantasy show's fifth season — and they are totally twinzies!
The 18-year-old has been posting photos from the set of the HBO show on her Instagram, and has caught quite a bit of attention! Judging by her looks, the actress and model can tame any dragons she comes across, let alone Khaleesi's! LOLz
And the best part is, stunt doubles can't get killed off a show! Or so we think…
Ch-ch-check out the rest of the photos (above) to get a good look at Daenerys's twin!
