TGIF just became a whole lot more meaningful!
The worldwide music industry has just switched the global release of new music day from Tuesday to Friday, and the move is making sound waves all across the world!
The shift was announced this past Thursday by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry who explained that the decision has been in the works since last year and that this latest change will be in effect by this summer!
So basically really soon!!!
And their hope is it will
Stars took to Twitter to pay tribute to Leonard Nimoy, who passed away on Friday at the age of 83.
Nimoy famously played Spock in Star Trek: The Original Series and movies, but made cameos in Star Trek: The Next Generation and even J.J. Abrams' Star Trek reboot films.
He was hospitalized earlier this week after suffering chest pains, and died this morning from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
He was also a noted poet, director, and a father of two.
Here are some tributes:
The diamond grill may get most people's attention, but we can't get over Madonna's super chunky shoes!
They look dangerous! And uncomfortable.

Kendall Jenner actually wore them down the runway recently!
But luckily Her Madgesty's bodyguards were there to help her in case she needed assistance keeping her balance.
The Living for Love singer spent all of Thursday night partying in London — she was spotted at Annabel's nightclub and Mr Chow!
We are so sad to report that Leonard Nimoy has died at the age of 83.
His wife Susan Bay Nimoy confirmed the sad news that the author/actor/poet/musician — best known for his iconic role as Mr. Spock on the original Star Trek — passed away at his Bel Air home Friday morning.
Leonard's death is being attributed to his end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The star announced he had the disease last year, attributing it to his years of smoking.
Our hearts go out both to his family and to the millions of Trek fans around the world who will be mourning this loss for years.
It is a sad day across the universe.

Richard Madden, known for playing noble Robb Stark on Game of Thrones, has a very different kind of job now.
Richard stars as Prince Charming in the live action Cinderella movie, and unlike on HBO's infamously explicit series, Disney is doing everything they can to HIDE the genitalia!
