George Clooney has honored his cousin Miguel Ferrer, who died Thursday morning at the age of 61.
The actor, who starred as Dr. Garret Macy on Crossing Jordan and Assistant Director Owen Grange on NCIS: Los Angeles, peacefully died at his home after a long battle with throat cancer, surrounded by family.
The California native also played troubled FBI Agent Albert Rosenfield on Twin Peaks, which he reprised for the drama's upcoming Showtime revival.
In a tribute to his late cousin, Clooney compared the family's personal tragedy to one that the country is going through in the dawn of Donald Trump's presidency.
Speaking to EW, he said:
"Today history will mark giant changes in our world, and lost to most will be that on the same day Miguel Ferrer lost his battle to throat cancer. But not lost to his family. Miguel made the world brighter and funnier and his passing is felt so deeply in our family that events of the day, (monumental events), pale in comparison. We love you Miguel. We always will."
So sad. Our hearts go out to all of Ferrer's family, friends, and fans at this trying time.
Poor Michelle Obama.
Not only does FLOTUS have to leave her house of the last eight years today, but she has to play nice with President-elect Donald Trump.
Today, the forthcoming first family arrived to the White House where they were greeted by the iconic Obamas before heading to the Inauguration.
As DJT went in for a kiss, Michelle was probably thinking, "____________!!!!"
And if that's not enough for you, Twitter's reaction has been EPIC. See a few replies to the smooch moment (below)!
Kellyanne Conway called her Inauguration outfit her "Trump Revolutionary wear" and we have to say it's definitely, uh, patriotic.
But nothing we say can compare to the absolute GOLD we found on Twitter.
From Paddington Bear to Napoleon, the campaign manager's ridiculous style has been fodder for some of the best jokes we've ever seen! We're laughing our asses off over here!
Thank you, Twitter, for making this day a little less painful!
