Family Guy Finally Took On Trump AND WOW!

Family Guy Donald Trump Episode

What Family Guy had Donald Trump do on Sunday night’s episode might have been the most offensive thing ever…
You know, except for the man actually bragging about doing it. And of course the action itself. And the fact people still voted for him for President of the United States! Now THAT is offensive.
In case you missed it, the edgy cartoon show saw Meg Griffin meeting the POTUS after Peter becomes the new Press Secretary, which would have seemed less realistic if Omarosa hadn’t gotten a job in the administration. After being alone with him in the Oval Office for just a few seconds, he grabs her by the p***y.

Then the entire family gets into a war with the Trumps.
It’s an action he admitted to on tape, and it’s in line with the sexual assault multiple women have accused him of. And it’s important to remind everyone of that.People tend to get numb to these things — and they really, really shouldn’t.
We suppose that’s one good aspect of writing a show that won’t air “for a year and a half” as showrunners Alec Sulkin and Rich Appel told EW about the controversial episode. When asked how they came to the idea to have Trump assault Meg, Appel explained:

“If I say the words Donald Trump to you, what’s the first thing you think?…. The only point in using Meg was to show that men like Trump can attempt to prey on vulnerable people. It’s clearly offensive and gross and not appropriate. But not only didn’t we not want to show it, we don’t want to be too explicit about exactly what happened.”

Ultimately they tried to focus the story on an important real aspect of sexual assault, Appel continued:

“We wanted to touch on this aspect of Trump’s public face, without putting Meg in too compromised a position. And the focus of the show was not [that]; our point was that Peter and Lois found it hard to believe at first that the president could be accused of an unwanted touching, but as is so often the case, people who question someone’s reporting of an unwanted touching realize they need to take it really seriously, and that’s what happens in the episode.”

That’s certainly what Trump voters should have done. We hope a lot of them got the message.
Now we can’t wait for the President to start calling a cartoon show FAKE NEWS…
