Gusting winds caused a temporary tower to topple, killing a Notre Dame student on Wednesday.
20 year old Declan Sullivan had been filming Notre Dame football practice from a hydraulic scissor lift.
It had been a normal practice that quickly became chaotic. Out of nowhere, the wind picked up and equipment began flying.
The National Weather Service said winds in the area were gusting to 51 mph when the tower fell. The football team had practiced indoors the day before because of the weather.
Sullivan, had posted on his facebook, before the tower fell, that it was "terrifying" being on the tower with such high winds.
This is such a sad story.
We are sure Declan Sullivan will be greatly missed.
