This is fascinating!
According to a new study, black raspberries have compounds that have the potential to effectively prevent colorectal cancer tumors - at least in mice!
According to researcher Gary Stoner, who tested the berry on two types of mice - one group with intestinal tumors, the other with colitis (which can lead to tumors) - the size of the tumors in both went down considerably after a 12 week diet of the berries!
"Due to the high levels of these compounds, the berries have high antioxidant activity."
However, to achieve those kind of results in people, they would have to eat four full cups of fresh berries a day, but fellow researcher Dr. Wancai Yang explains that because the mice already had tumors, for humans "it is not necessary to eat so much fresh berries to have similar benefit of cancer prevention."
These are pretty serious results!
It's so amazing to us that there are so many natural resources in the world to effectively treat such serious, deadly diseases!
