Ever feel like you love cheese so much you might actually be addicted? Well, the good news is you’re not crazy because you probably are addicted!
Since the early 80’s, researchers have known that cheese contains trace amounts of the highly addictive opiate chemical morphine! That’s right, that stuff that makes us feel great in the hospital is making us feel great every time we take a big bite out of a block of dairy that can contain 7 grams of saturated fat in 1 ounce!
On top of the morphine found in cow and human milk, there is the protein casein, which breaks into little casomorphins when digested and produces opiate-like-effects including signs of sedation, tolerance, sleep induction, and depression.
Unlike milk, casein is concentrated in cheese, and so is the level of casomorphins, creating a "dairy crack" of sorts.
Wow! Stick that in your pipe and smoke it! Just kidding, you don’t need to, just eat it!
dairy crack cheese tastes great, but like everything else that tastes great, eat it in moderation. Cutting back on cheese, while difficult with all of those casomorphins giving you a cheese buzz, may be incredibly advantageous to a healthy diet and reducing the risk of heart disease.
Did U ever hear about this before? Will this encourage U to cut out the addictive dairy product from your diet or will U remain faithful to the cheese?
