Guess the competition shows are not slowing down. We have chefs, clothing designers - and now wrestlers!
USA Network has picked up WWE Tough Enough, an hourlong reality show where 12 contestants compete to be the next big wrestler. The winner gets a contract with the WWE.
The show isn't new. It aired on MTV in 2001 for three years and moved to UPN for an additional season.
Kevin Dunn, exec VP of television production at WWE, said:
"For years, the return of 'Tough Enough' has been one of the most talked about and speculated topics amongst reality show fans and television industry insider. With the combined promotional muscle of USA Network and WWE, the right timeslot and the reality show experience of Shed Media, WWE is looking forward to the successful return of one of television's first reality show hits."
The show will debut on April 4th.
