You may have seen a weight-loss product called HCG being advertised all over the Internet. Hopefully, you didn’t buy it, because the FDA just announced that it’s fraudulent and illegal.
The pills are sold online, in drugstores, and in GNCs and are supposed to help people not feel hungry even when consuming very few calories — thereby helping them lose weight.
“There is no evidence the oral over-the-counter products are effective for weight loss,” says Elizabeth Miller, FDA's leader for the Internet and health fraud team. “While they may not be dangerous, they're at least ‘economic fraud’.”
There are better ways to lose weight than diet pills! Start exercising and eating right before you throw any pseudo-science into the mix!!
